Tour de France
After the first couple of days here is a quick recap so far. Day one saw the prologue time trial where Lance Armstrong didn’t make any significant impression in the first day – his time trials were previously very strong. The second day was the first day of real racing where Mark Cavendish took the stage win through a sprint putting him in the green jersey. The third day saw a relatively flat stage with cross winds allowing a break away group of about 29 riders getting the jump on the peloton. This gave them a 39 second lead over the main field. The break away group contained Mark Cavendish that took the second stage win in two days and also Lance Armstrong who is now up to third going into the team time trial starting in Montpellier. The race is getting interesting!
